Welcome to Inspired. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a positive experience with our app. This privacy policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

Information We Collect

Analytics Data

We use TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service, to understand how users interact with Inspired.

Important: TelemetryDeck does not collect any personally identifiable information. We use your device's vendor identifier, which is specific to our app and cannot be used to track you across other apps.

Subscription Information

If you purchase a subscription, we use a third-party service to securely manage purchases. This service processes:

Purchase status and subscription details
A randomly generated customer identifier
No payment information is stored by our app

Feature Requests

When you submit a feature request:

Your request title and description are collected
Your email address is optional and only used if you choose to provide it
Your votes on other feature requests
Your vote is not identifiable

Local Data Storage

All your personal quote data is stored locally on your device:

Saved quotes and favorites
Notification preferences and schedules
Category preferences
Personal notes on quotes

This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly share it.

Device Permissions

Camera Access

We request camera permission for our AR (Augmented Reality) features to overlay quotes in your camera view. Our camera usage includes:

Standard AR Mode:

Uses ARWorldTracking for environmental tracking
No face data is collected or processed
Overlays inspirational quotes in 3D space

AR Selfie Mode (TrueDepth devices only):

Uses ARFaceTracking to position 3D text relative to your face
Face tracking data is processed in real-time and immediately discarded
No photos, videos, or face data are stored or transmitted

What we do NOT do:

Store or transmit any photos, videos, or face data
Access your photo library
Use facial recognition or biometric identification
Create face profiles or templates
Share camera or face data with any third parties
Use the camera for any purpose beyond AR features

Face Data and TrueDepth API Usage

Face Data Collection: Inspired uses Apple's TrueDepth API and ARKit face tracking solely for real-time augmented reality features. Specifically:

Data Collected: Facial landmarks and head pose data are processed in real-time to position 3D quote text relative to your face during AR selfie mode
Purpose: This data is used exclusively to enhance the AR experience by accurately placing inspirational quotes in 3D space relative to your facial position
Real-time Processing Only: All face tracking data is processed locally on your device in real-time and is immediately discarded after use
No Storage: We do not store, save, or retain any face data, facial recognition information, or biometric identifiers
No Transmission: Face data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers or any third parties
No Third-Party Sharing: Face tracking data is not shared with any third-party services, including our analytics provider TelemetryDeck
User Control: Face tracking only occurs when you actively use the AR selfie feature. You can avoid this entirely by using standard AR mode or non-AR features

Important: The TrueDepth API is only used when you explicitly activate the AR selfie mode. If your device doesn't support face tracking, the app automatically falls back to standard camera functionality without any face data processing.

Push Notifications

We request notification permission to send you daily inspirational quotes based on your preferences. All notifications are scheduled locally on your device.
